Printhouse


Printhouse first opened in 2008, started by Jude Clynick, Kitty Cava, Karen Potter and Carol Parker. The initial impetus was not only to gain exposure for our prints but also as a focus for sharing and developing our work. The catalyst was the acquisition of the Imperial relief press (pictured above). From the beginning we determined that the Printhouse should only show original prints and that our aims should not be diluted. In 2009 we were joined for the Festival by Lynne Scoging (not showing this year) and Ann d’Arcy Hughes. In 2010, Helen Brown, Ann’s co-director at bip-Art Printmaking Workshop, also showed, and this year we are pleased to include Hebe Vernon-Morris, also a bip-Art director. Hanging the show gets easier each year but still provokes much discussion!
